Jump Trading is seeking a Campus C++ Software Engineer Intern in Shanghai to work on live trading systems, risk infrastructure, and back testing platforms. Ideal candidates are proactive, collaborative, and have a strong foundation in C++.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain the systems that connect our strategies to the exchange, including market data handling, order entry, and the full order lifecycle in between.
- Build the trading platforms that support the firm's expansion into new businesses and markets.
- Design the modules that monitor performance in real-time and apply pre-trade and post-trade controls across trading systems components.
- Build and maintain the back testing infrastructure used by researchers to evaluate systematic strategies against large-scale historical market data.
- Produce the datasets that traders and quantitative researchers rely on daily to make critical decisions.
- Debug real incidents, trace data through the full pipeline, and fix root causes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in C++ with hands-on experience working with large-scale systems.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, system design, networking concepts and operating systems.
- Solid debugging skills and the ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases quickly.
- Comfortable working on Linux — command line, debugging, and bare-metal environments.
Bonus/Good to Have:
- Experience with system performance optimization.
- Experience with Python.
- Contribution to open-source projects.
- Background in statistics or data analysis.
- Finance and economics knowledge.
- Competitive programming background.
