About the role

As a Front-Office Data Support Analyst intern at Amun 21Shares, you will gain hands-on experience in trading and data management within the financial markets. This role is integral to supporting the company's ETF/ETP business by ensuring data accuracy and facilitating communication between the trading desk and engineering teams.

You will be responsible for maintaining and validating data feeds, automating reporting processes, and ensuring the quality of data published externally. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Data maintenance: Maintain and validate daily data feeds (NAV, AUM, flows, holdings, staking rewards, index values etc) across the internal database and third-party APIs, flagging discrepancies before they start affecting the product's health.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Serve as the link between the trading desk and the data/engineering team, translating desk requirements into technical specs and communicating data/system constraints back to trading and product stakeholders.
• Process automation: Identify manual or spreadsheet-based reporting workflows and replace them with Python/SQL scripts/Claude dashboards to reduce turnaround time and error rate as well as document the process.
• External data validation: Support QA of data published to external channels (website, product pages, factsheets) to ensure consistency with the internal source of truth.
• Ad hoc requests: Handle ad hoc data requests from product development, risk, distribution teams etc.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong experience coding in Python and SQL within a collaborative development environment (work, team projects, open-source etc).
• Genuine interest in financial markets and curiosity to learn more on risk management, market dynamics, blockchain and DeFi concepts.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Disciplined self-starter with a high degree of rigor and attention to detail.
• You like to challenge and be challenged to get the best solutions to a problem.

Preferred Qualifications / Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with financial products like ETPs and ETFs.
• Experience working directly with technical and development teams.
• Working knowledge of database systems (PostgreSQL or similar).
