Join Elliptic as a Senior Cryptocurrency Intelligence Scientist to detect and investigate complex on-chain criminal activity, leveraging data science skills in blockchain analytics.

Responsibilities
- Develop and own an expert understanding of identity and non-identity signals and data points necessary to characterise complex on-chain threats.
- Lead end-to-end complex research and investigation efforts.
- Evaluate Elliptic's attribution coverage across threat areas and lead projects defining intelligence collection efforts.
- Develop processes and tooling for analysts and data scientists.
- Maintain a well-evidenced view of cryptocurrency's future and translate that into actionable intelligence priorities.
- Summarise conclusions into reports, briefings, and marketing content.
- Work closely with the Principal Cryptocurrency Intelligence Scientist and Professional Services team.
- Build strong working relationships across Elliptic and develop external relationships within the blockchain intelligence community.
- Coach and mentor junior colleagues.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of data science fundamentals, with working knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Expert proficiency across various blockchains, including layer 1 and layer 2 networks.
- Competency as an intelligence professional, understanding cognitive bias and applying structured analytic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for distilling complex technical matters.
- Previous experience holding or ability to obtain security clearance in the UK or US.
- AI fluency is essential for this role.
