Join OneSoil as a Senior/Lead Backend Engineer to lead a product-focused team, shape technical vision, and build AI-driven solutions for agriculture.

Our mobile and web apps help monitor fields, optimize inputs, and increase yields using satellite imagery and proprietary AI models. OneSoil is headquartered in Zurich, with offices in Poland, Ukraine, and Cyprus. Our technology is used across 4% of the world’s cropland. This year, we became the first company to launch an AI Agronomist globally.
- Lead and grow a product-focused backend team.
- Shape the technical vision and architecture of our backend systems.
- Drive the delivery of backend features in collaboration with product managers, designers, and AI/ML engineers.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence and ownership within the team.
- Build products that leverage modern AI models to deliver value to farmers worldwide.
- Improve development processes and team workflows.
- Act as a hands-on technical leader.
- 5+ years of backend development experience, with strong Python expertise.
- Experience leading and scaling a product engineering team.
- Strong expertise in Python 3.12+, Django 4+, Django REST Framework, Celery, pytest, Redis, PostgreSQL, Docker, RabbitMQ, and AWS.
- Familiarity with FastAPI and Kubernetes.
- Bonus points for experience with PostGIS, Helm, or ArgoCD.
- A track record of building and shipping scalable SaaS products.
- A solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
- A passion for mentoring engineers.
