Join Chainlink Labs as a Senior Software Engineer to develop scalable and secure data products for decentralized finance (DeFi). Work with cutting-edge technologies and make a significant impact in the blockchain space.
Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and powering the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi). On the Data Products team you'll develop highly scalable, secure, and reliable software that changes the way smart contracts function, with a focus on Data Feeds, alongside distributed-systems and security experts.
Your Impact
- Design and implement new features within the Data Product space, such as trust-minimized off-chain computation and the aggregation of external data in various blockchain environments
- Design and own the end-to-end delivery of new and existing data products that power the largest market share of DeFi by total value secured
- Build core products with smart contracts using Solidity, Move, and Rust
- Partner with the research team to build cutting-edge products
- Think creatively about attack vectors, possible failures, and disaster scenarios, model them in reproducible test environments, and develop fixes
- Manage the architectural vision for new subsystems in the core Chainlink node
- Implement resilient distributed systems to achieve extremely high reliability in a variety of blockchain environments
Requirements
- At least 7–10+ years of professional software engineering experience in a collaborative product-driven environment
- Experience in blockchain and other Web 3.0 technologies
- Experience developing smart contracts that secured meaningful value on-chain
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals and systems design concepts
- Experience owning multi-month projects, including communication of progress, dependencies, and risk mitigation with stakeholders
- Experience building distributed and low-latency systems
- B.S. or higher in computer science, software engineering, mathematics or related technical field
- Desired: Golang or another strongly-typed language; experience with market data.
