About the Role

As a Senior Engineering Manager in the Invest / Trade department, you will lead talented engineers to enhance and expand blockchain-based products and supporting platforms. You will drive technical direction and engineering culture within your team, contribute to the broader Invest / Trading group culture, and help drive operational excellence in systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Develop and maintain an engineering roadmap and co-develop technical strategy to drive innovation and large-scale business growth.
• Program Management and Engineering Execution: Ensure product vision is realized through excellence in execution and operations. Work with Product teams and business leadership to efficiently deliver on business and product outcomes while maintaining high availability and security.
• Recruiting and Team-Building: Lead scaling of engineering teams through recruiting strategies that identify and attract top talent; develop current talent by honing functional and qualitative skills.
• Engineering Processes and Practices: Develop and maintain development methodologies allowing teams to rapidly iterate with consistent quality. Plan development of highly automated build, test, and deploy frameworks.
• Technology Management: Lead, manage, and mentor engineers. Manage staff goals, performance feedback, career development, and continuous learning opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience with languages such as Java, C++, or Scala.
• 4+ years managing teams of software engineers in a high-precision, regulated industry.
• Proven track record developing and maintaining large-scale, distributed systems.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and commitment to best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and microservices architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in crypto or fintech industry.
• Understanding of blockchain technologies and crypto wallets.
