Key Responsibilities
- Trade & Platform Operations
- Monitor trading platforms to ensure uptime and execution quality
- Oversee trade flow, execution, and pricing in real time
- Identify and escalate execution issues, slippage anomalies, or pricing gaps
- Manage trading sessions, market openings/closings, and instrument configurations
- Liquidity & Pricing
- Monitor liquidity feeds and ensure competitive spreads and depth
- Liaise with liquidity providers to resolve pricing or execution issues
- Analyze spread widening, latency, and execution quality (markouts, slippage)
- Assist in optimizing routing and aggregation settings
- Risk & Exposure Monitoring
- Monitor client positions, exposure, and overall risk in real time
- Support hedging strategies and execution of risk mitigation actions
- Identify unusual trading activity or potential abuse (e.g., arbitrage, latency exploitation)
- Trade Lifecycle Management
- Handle trade adjustments, corrections, and dispute investigations
- Ensure accuracy of trade records and reconciliation
- Incident Management
- Act as first responder for trading-related incidents
- Investigate platform issues, outages, or abnormal market behavior
- Coordinate with tech teams and external providers to resolve issues quickly
Requirements
- Experience & Skills
- 2+ years experience in trading operations, dealing desk, or brokerage environment
- Strong understanding of FX, CFDs, or crypto markets
- Familiarity with trading platforms
- Python scripting skills — ability to write and maintain automation scripts for monitoring, data extraction, reconciliation, and routine operational tasks.
- SQL skills — writing queries (joins, aggregations, window functions) against trading and client databases for investigation, reporting, and anomaly detection.
