Blockchain Integration Engineer / Backend Engineer (Go + PHP)

About the role

In this role, you will integrate new L1 and L2 blockchains into Sheepy's payment infrastructure. Your responsibilities include maintaining these integrations in production and ensuring stable operations of both company and third-party nodes. You will work autonomously with minimal meetings, which allows for a high degree of responsibility over your results.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of blockchain mechanics and experience with integrating blockchains as payment rails. You will be expected to document your technical solutions and participate in architectural design, ensuring that various blockchain networks are unified under a single management interface.

The salary starts at $4000 per month, providing a baseline for compensation in this role.

Responsibilities

• Integrate new L1/L2 blockchains into existing payment infrastructure and maintain these integrations in production.
• Implement and support the full cycle of blockchain networks:
• address generation and validation
• tracking incoming transactions (inbound scanners)
• confirmation and finality logic
• handling reorgs of N blocks and correct balance recalculation
• calculation and unification of fees (gas/fee/priority fee)
• creating and sending outgoing transactions
• managing stuck transactions and nonce management
• Connect and maintain company and third-party nodes (RPC, WebSocket, JSON-RPC), ensuring their stable operation.
• Respond to hard forks/chain upgrades and protocol changes without service interruption.
• Unify various blockchain networks under a single management interface.
• Diagnose incidents in production and participate in ensuring stable integration operations.
• Implement monitoring of nodes and network states.
• Document integrations and technical solutions.
• Participate in designing architectural solutions and abstractions for connecting new blockchains.
• Work autonomously: minimal meetings, high responsibility for results.

Requirements

• Proficient in Go (Golang) - primary language for integrations.
• Proficient in PHP (support and integration with existing code).
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience with MySQL, Redis.
• Practical experience with Blockchain/Crypto.
• Experience integrating blockchains as payment rails.
• Understanding the differences:
• account-based and UTXO models
• probabilistic and deterministic finality
• Experience with at least one of the following:
• EVM-compatible networks
• Non-EVM networks (Bitcoin-like, Solana, Tron, etc.)
• Understanding gas mechanics, mempool, confirmations, reorg/rollback scenarios.
• Experience with raw transactions, signing, private keys.
• Practical experience using Trustwallet wallet-core.
