Partnerships Lead, New Verticals

New York, US $120k–150k 2 days ago full-time quality 7.8/10

Role in brief

Figure is a blockchain-native capital marketplace seeking a Partnerships Lead to establish and scale partnerships in lending. Ideal candidates have experience in strategic partnerships and a background in fintech or lending.

About the role

As a Partnerships Lead at Figure, you will be responsible for identifying and securing strategic partnerships with banks and credit unions to enhance the company's lending ecosystem. Your role involves negotiating terms and ensuring successful partner integrations, which are crucial for driving funding volume across various lending products.

Figure operates in a rapidly growing sector of blockchain finance, with a strong focus on real-world asset tokenization. Success in this role means effectively managing cross-functional teams and building repeatable processes to streamline partnership launches, ultimately contributing to the company's market leadership.

The base compensation ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 per year, with additional potential earnings based on performance.

Who this role suits

  • Experienced in strategic partnerships or business development, particularly in fintech or lending.
  • A strong negotiator who is comfortable managing complex, multi-party processes.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Adaptable and capable of navigating ambiguity while driving outcomes.

From the employer

What You'll Do

  • Map the market and source high-value strategic, product, and channel partnerships.
  • Structure and negotiate the commercial terms and product setup for each partner.
  • Build our new bank and credit union channel, landing the partners and integrations that make Figure easy for these institutions to adopt.
  • Win partnerships in the home improvement and small business lending ecosystems that drive funded volume across multiple products (e.g. HELOC, fix-&-flip, DSCR).
  • Coordinate the internal teams a launch depends on, including product, engineering, credit, legal, and implementation, to get partners live and scaling.
  • Own each partnership internally. Spot where it is likely to stall and clear the path before it does.
  • Build repeatable program structures and playbooks so each new partnership moves faster than the last.
  • Track your deal pipeline and activity in Salesforce (our CRM).

What We Look For

  • 5+ years in strategic partnerships, investment banking, venture capital / private equity, business development, consulting, or a related field (we care way more about your actual impact and scope of work than the exact years on your resume—so if you're a bit outside this range, definitely still apply!).
  • Experience with lending, fintech, SaaS, or financial institutions is a plus.
  • A track record building platform, product, or channel partnerships, ideally involving banks, credit unions, and non-bank lenders – including the systems they run on.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the patience to run a long, multi-party process all the way to launch.
  • A working understanding of consumer and small-business lending. You do not need deep capital-markets expertise for this role, but you should understand how originations work.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, and good at getting cross-functional teams to move.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to own outcomes.
  • Nice to have: experience partnering with or selling into depositories, POS, LOS, or core integrations, or home-improvement and small-business lending.

What We Offer

  • Base Compensation Range: $120,000 - $150,000/yr
  • On-target earnings: $190,000 - $240,000/yr
  • Company equity in the form of RSUs
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% employer-paid premiums for employees and their dependents on select plans
  • Company HSA, FSA, Dependent Care FSA, 401(k), and commuter benefits
  • Employer-paid life and disability insurance
  • 11 observed holidays and PTO plan
  • Up to 12 weeks of paid family leave
  • Continuing education reimbursement.
