About this role

Copper is seeking a People Lead for the Americas to manage essential aspects of the employee life cycle and support HR operations in a fast-paced environment.

Description

Built on top of this state-of-the-art custody, ClearLoop is the first solution in the market that overcomes a growing industry challenge; counterparty risk with exchanges. This solution underpins a full prime services offering, connecting global exchanges, and enabling customers to trade and settle directly from the safety of their MPC-secured wallets. By reducing settlement time for transfers to a few milliseconds (without blockchain network dependency) and offering enhanced security measures, ClearLoop is rapidly reshaping the way asset managers trade and manage capital. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations support for all US based employees & managers – including grievances, disciplinaries and performance management.
  • Horizon scanning and policy updates for US employment legislation changes.
  • Partnering and advising the employee and managers at all levels in the US to ensure HR self-service is maximised.
  • Responsible for local onboarding- ensuring you offer a seamless experience for all new starters.
  • Responsible for leaver process, including off-boarding, exit interview analysis and alumni programmes.
  • Drive HR operations efficiencies through new ways of working and adoption of technology.
  • Facilitate employee/manager queries regarding people operations needs and benefits.
  • Supporting the Talent acquisition team with hiring needs in the US and meeting candidates in the New York Office.

Hands on Administration:

  • Onboard new employees including issuing new starter documents, background checks, and co-ordinating the onboarding experience, in the UK and globally.
  • Issue employee lifecycle event documentation, change letters, leavers letters etc.
  • Process benefits change requests (Vitality healthcare cover, pensions etc).
  • Ensure that all data is accurately updated on all People systems and relevant platforms.
  • Support with administration across the wider People function including offering support to Employee Relations, Talent and L&D.
  • Maintain a high-level of confidentiality in all matters relating to employee issues or employee personal data.
Requirements

Skills and Experience:

Essential
  • Experience working in a fast-paced People/ HR advisor role.
  • Accurate application of employee data within systems and documents, adhering to confidentiality standards and maintaining data integrity.
  • Understanding of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding requirements.
  • Previous experience managing a People/HR inbox and responding to all incoming enquiries from the business, efficiently and accurately.
  • Genuine passion and enthusiasm for creating a great employee experience.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proven ability to operate in a flexible and pragmatic way.
  • Able to handle confidential information sensitively.
  • Self-starter who can identify improvement opportunities.
  • Interest in UK employment legislation and HR processes.
