About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Node.js/TypeScript skills, proven Web3 experience, and a solid background in distributed systems engineering. You'll be responsible for building scalable services that power decentralized applications — from blockchain-specific integrations (EVM, Solana) to off-chain backend services running on modern infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role at the intersection of Web3 engineering and high-load distributed systems. Your contributions will directly impact the success and growth of innovative blockchain projects, helping shape the future of decentralized technologies.

Responsibilities

Web3-specific tasks:

• Integrate with EVM and Solana blockchains using ethers.js, web3.js, and @solana/web3.js


• Process blockchain data, interact with smart contracts, index on-chain events

Offchain / distributed systems tasks:

• Build backend services and SDKs in Node.js/TypeScript


• Work with databases, caches, brokers, and infra: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, gRPC, Kubernetes, AWS, ClickHouse


• Deliver production-grade, well-documented code with strong focus on test coverage


• Take ownership of code in production: monitoring, debugging, and incident resolution


• Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of development practices


• Collaborate with Protocol, Frontend, Data, and DevRel teams to deliver high-impact features


• Bring in best practices from the broader IT industry and help improve our engineering culture

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend development experience with Node.js/TypeScript
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems, databases, messaging, cloud, and container orchestration
• Strong testing discipline with modern frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Sinon, etc.)
• CI/CD familiarity
• Ability to consistently deliver high-quality, maintainable code and follow engineering best practices
• Comfortable working in a distributed team with strong focus on reliability and code quality
• Fluent in Russian (internal communication); confident in English (docs & technical discussions)

Nice to Have

• Hands-on Web3 experience (EVM/Solana, smart contracts, transactions, events)
• Exposure to Solidity and ability to read smart contracts
• Familiarity with DeFi protocols and products
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Hands-on experience with other runtime ecosystems (C#, JVM, Go, etc.) — we value engineers who have looked beyond a single stack and bring diverse perspectives
