About this role
Join Instacart as an Analytics Engineer II to develop data models and ETL pipelines for marketing and analytics. Work remotely from Canada.
Description
Instacart is a platform for ordering groceries and household items, connecting customers with personal shoppers.
Responsibilities
- Develop dimensional data models and ETL pipelines for Paid Marketing, SEO, Retailer Marketing, and attribution.
- Transform analytical requests from Data Scientists, Analysts, and Marketing teams into decision-ready datasets.
- Ensure model quality: testing, documentation, monitoring, and root cause analysis of data incidents.
- Improve performance and observability of marketing data pipelines: logs, metrics, freshness, and quality checks.
Requirements
- 3–5 years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or related roles with ownership of production data models and pipelines.
- Strong SQL and experience with dimensional modeling: star schemas, fact/dimension tables, and SCD.
- Practical experience with dbt, Snowflake, and Airflow.
- Ability to independently deliver documented and tested code while collaborating with data, marketing, and engineering teams.
