Responsibilities
- Own the architectural view of the portfolio.
- Author high-level designs for new capabilities.
- Record consequential decisions and their rationale.
- Partner deeply with product and engineering leadership.
- Drive payment orchestration and settlement architecture.
- Guide client-side architecture of payment experiences.
- Design for the regulated context.
- Champion AI adoption.
- Connect the portfolio to Luno's wider architecture community.
Requirements
- Experience architecting consumer-facing, high-scale distributed systems.
- Comfortable in a non-coding role but able to build proofs of concept.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- Experience in backend architecture and payment systems.
- Credible across web and mobile client architecture.
- Previous experience as a software engineer.
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
