- Own the technical roadmap for Tax Engineering, driving architecture and execution for tax compliance.
- Lead and grow a team of 12 engineers, fostering technical excellence.
- Build tax primitives for new products, ensuring extensible architecture.
- Partner cross-functionally to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.
- Drive delivery of mission-critical systems with accuracy and reliability.
- Shape engineering processes for fast, high-quality execution.
- Build the team by attracting and hiring exceptional talent.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering with expertise in distributed systems.
- 2+ years of engineering management experience.
- Technical depth equivalent to a Staff Engineer.
- Experience building data-intensive systems with accuracy and scale.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture and data pipelines.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally to translate requirements into solutions.
- Ability to use generative AI tools responsibly.
- Remote-first role with in-person participation required throughout the year.
- Team and company-wide offsites held multiple times annually.
