- Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive risk-based internal controls testing program across all compliance functions.
- Develop and maintain the Compliance Controls Library, including testing procedures, risk ratings, and controls scoring methodology.
- Prepare executive-level reports and communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls.
- Identify systemic issues and trends in control failures and propose sustainable improvements.
- Provide strategic guidance on the enhancement of control design, documentation, and ownership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, Operations, Product, and Finance teams.
- Partner with external and internal audit functions as a key stakeholder.
- Stay current on global regulatory developments and translate emerging requirements into actionable control enhancements.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in compliance testing, internal audit, risk management, or internal controls.
- Demonstrated expertise in AML/CTF regulations and operational compliance.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment frameworks and control testing methodologies.
- Proven ability to analyze complex documentation and identify control gaps.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High degree of professional integrity, discretion, and critical thinking.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and control monitoring platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global environment.
