Kelnick Studios is looking for a Junior Linux Engineer to manage servers and support web applications. The position is remote with a salary range of 80,000 to 90,000 RUB per month.
Responsibilities

- Administration of Debian servers
- Support for web servers and applications
- Diagnosis of issues with services, load, disks, and network
- Work with virtual machines and containers
- Support CI/CD
- Perform scheduled tasks and participate in incident resolution
- Automation of routine tasks
- Documentation of changes and standard procedures
Requirements
Requirements
- Confident knowledge of Linux at a junior system administrator level
- Practical experience with Debian
- Understanding of Linux file systems, users, groups, and permissions
- Confident shell usage
- Basic understanding of systemd
- Ability to read and analyze logs
- Basic skills in diagnosing issues with CPU, RAM, disks, and processes
- Ability to independently find information in documentation
- Practical experience with nginx
- Basic understanding and experience with Apache HTTP Server
- Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS
- Understanding of reverse proxy
- Basic understanding of DNS
- Practical experience with MariaDB and/or MySQL
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Understanding of users, permissions, dumps, and database recovery
- Ability to diagnose simple database connection and operation issues
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP
- Understanding of IP addresses and ports
- Ability to use basic network diagnostic tools (ip, ss, ping, curl, etc.)
- Confident basic usage of Git
- Understanding of commit, branch, merge
- Basic understanding of GitLab CI/CD
- Understanding the difference between virtual machines and containers
- Basic understanding of Docker
- Basic work with Docker CLI
- Understanding of the principle of least privilege
- Basic understanding of SSH and SSH keys
- Understanding the purpose of TLS/HTTPS
- Careful attitude towards production infrastructure
