Responsibilities

Your mission will be:

  • Payment Partnerships Strategy & Provider Management
- Manage and strengthen relationships with banking partners, payment providers, and strategic payment vendors. - Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new payment partners aligned to business and geographic expansion strategy. - Conduct structured provider comparison analyses covering pricing, settlement performance, regulatory exposure, integration complexity, risk controls, and product capabilities. - Assist in negotiating commercial terms. - Build business cases and motivation documents for new payment partnerships and product opportunities.
  • Payment Integrations & Business Analysis
- Act as Business Analyst for payment integrations — translating business requirements into scalable payment solutions and functional specifications. - Partner with Product and Engineering teams to support delivery of payment methods, provider integrations, and enhancements to payment infrastructure. - Map current and future-state payment processes, identify gaps, and recommend optimisation opportunities. - Produce business requirements documents, process flows, integration requirements, user stories, and solution documentation. - Support UAT, implementation validation, and post-launch performance monitoring of payment integrations. - Drive problem-solving initiatives where payments partnerships or products can address business challenges or customer pain points.
  • Provider KYB & Regulatory Remediation Management
- Own and manage annual and ad hoc Know Your Business (KYB) reviews across payment providers and banking partners in collaboration with Payment team leaders. - Coordinate documentation and remediation requirements across Legal, Compliance, Finance, and external providers. - Monitor remediation timelines and proactively identify risks across the payments partner ecosystem. - Support governance and control frameworks relating to third-party provider oversight.
  • Institutional Payment Flow Solutioning
- Partner with Institutional, Treasury, Product, and Operations teams to design and optimise scalable payment flows for high-value deposits, withdrawals, settlements, and fiat on/off ramps. - Analyse bottlenecks in institutional collections and disbursements and develop tailored solutions leveraging local rails, correspondent banking, and alternative providers. - Document payment operational controls, and risk mitigation frameworks. - Support solution design for global settlement needs and institutional payment requirements.
  • Cross-Border Payments Optimisation
- Support optimisation of global collections and payout corridors across jurisdictions. - Analyse FX costs, settlement times, liquidity considerations, and routing dependencies. - Develop contingency strategies to improve resilience and reduce dependency risks. - Partner with Treasury on liquidity and prefunding considerations linked to payment operations. - Evaluate new cross-border solutions that improve efficiency, cost, and customer outcomes.
  • Cost, Revenue & Payments Performance Optimisation
- Build financial models to assess provider economics, Total Processing Cost (TPC), and revenue impacts in collaboration with the Business Optimization Team in Payments. - Identify opportunities to optimize payment costs while improving customer experience and provider performance. - Support monthly and ad hoc payments performance reporting, trend analysis, and strategic recommendations. - Use data-driven analysis to support payment product decisions and partner performance management. - Assess interest rates and earnings on payment partner accounts; formulate strategies for additional gains in collaboration with Operations and Treasury.
  • New Provider Onboarding & Go-Live Readiness
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and pre-onboarding processes for new providers and vendors. - Coordinate cross-functional sign-offs across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Engineering, and Operations. - Track onboarding timelines, contractual execution, compliance checks, and technical readiness. - Ensure go-live readiness including reconciliation controls, reporting, operational monitoring, and risk logging. - Support successful launch and early-life performance stabilisation of new integrations and partnerships.
Requirements

A little about you:

- Proven experience in payments, fintech, banking, or payment partnerships roles — with strong understanding of payment rails, both local and international payment rails and bank processes (EFT, Bank transfers, Cards, E-wallets, MoMo etc.), acquiring, banking integrations, cross-border payments, and provider ecosystems.
  • Payment Integrations:
- Basic understanding of payment APIs, settlement processes, and technical integration lifecycles.
  • Business Analysis:
- Experience producing BRDs, process flows, user stories, and functional specs; facilitating workshops; and supporting UAT and go-live validation.
  • Provider evaluation:
- Track record of evaluating payment providers, integration models, and commercial structures.
  • Financial modelling:
- Strong analytical skills including cost/revenue impact assessments and TPC modelling.
  • Compliance awareness:
