About the Role
Sei Labs is looking for a Protocol Software Engineer - Storage to lead the development of core components of the Sei Blockchain. You'll work at the forefront of blockchain infrastructure, designing and optimizing the foundational layers of a high-performance, scalable decentralized network on our Storage team. You'll be helping build the most performant end to end solution for a massive amount of data as the Sei network hits mainstream traction.
Responsibilities
- Write code to build the core Sei blockchain (execution, consensus, state management, etc.).
- Analyze and own the end to end performance of Sei's EVM implementations.
- Proactively identify and drive optimizations and improvements to the product.
- Take ownership over your work and the work of the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
- 2+ years of EVM specific work in building and scaling a Layer 1 blockchains performance.
- Deep end to end understanding of the EVM from execution to storage.
- A proven tech lead with experience planning and leading large projects with long-term impact on a single system or team.
- Strong technical grasp and excellent judgment on task prioritizations.
- Able to tackle complex engineering problems that deliver results.
- History of creating and applying new processes and tooling to increase engineering efficiency.
