About this role
Upscale is seeking a Reels Maker to create engaging short videos for Instagram & YouTube. The role involves trend research, content creation, and video editing, focusing on innovative formats and storytelling.
Description
Upscale is a leading prop trading platform in the CIS. We are looking for a Reels Maker to help turn short videos into a systematic content direction: increasing the number of videos, regularly testing new ideas, and finding formats that will consistently gain views on Instagram & YouTube.
Responsibilities
- Search for trends and references together with the SMM team;
- Propose your own ideas and actively participate in script development;
- Come up with strong hooks and adapt complex topics for short videos;
- Film yourself and, if necessary, assist with the filming process of other team members;
- Edit videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts (basic editing level: complex editing will be assisted by the team, focus will be on the content itself);
- Shoot diverse content — humorous, about the product, trading, and other topics; priorities for formats will be formed together based on the content plan;
- Test different formats, presentations, characters, and sections;
- Analyze results if desired — initially, this is not a mandatory part of the role.
Requirements
- Confident and organic presence on camera;
- Ability to tell stories clearly and interestingly;
- Good diction, expressive voice, and charismatic presentation;
- Quick to react and able to improvise;
- Understanding of modern internet humor and the mechanics of short videos;
- Ability to film yourself; basic editing skills;
- Initiative and not waiting for detailed briefs for each video (we love people with their own taste);
- Willingness to test a lot and accept that not every video will succeed;
- Ability to work systematically and adhere to agreements;
- Familiarity with various AI services for video content will be a big plus;
- Commercial experience is a plus but not required. We are ready to take a talented newcomer with a strong presentation, exposure, and a desire to grow quickly;
- Knowledge of trading is not required. The team will help you understand the product and scenarios. It is important to quickly grasp complex topics and explain them in simple terms.
