About the Role

Polymarket is seeking a pragmatic and resourceful full-stack engineer to join its team. This role is central to Polymarket's operations, embedding on different teams to understand their strategic goals and accelerate them by building and expanding operational systems. These systems primarily revolve around "Mission Control," the platform Polymarket uses to run its operations, including supporting Customer Success and facilitating the creation, configuration, and launch of markets. This position offers significant ownership, a diverse set of problems to solve, and the opportunity to deliver value at the business level.

Responsibilities

  • Own and expand Mission Control, building and evolving the systems that drive Polymarket's markets, content, and growth
  • Design and implement pipelines for market automation, streamlining the research, structuring, deployment, and management of new markets at scale
  • Ship deployments end-to-end, taking features and improvements from concept to production with direct impact on daily business operations
  • Work across a broad range of operational systems (APIs, dashboards, workflows) that support various teams and tie into the core product
  • Work across the full stack (frontend and backend code) using modern frameworks
  • Collaborate with operations teams to understand workflows, gather feedback, and iterate quickly
  • Write clean, maintainable code, build scalable systems, and maintain codebase quality through code reviews and engineering best practices

Requirements

  • 4-5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Solid experience building full-stack web applications
  • Strong skills in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS
  • Experience with React and Node.js
  • Strong customer empathy and a bias for action
  • Comfort with ambiguity and context-switching
  • Great communication and collaboration skills
  • A passion for blockchain, decentralized finance, and freedom of speech
  • Experience in an embedded or field engineering role, working directly alongside product or operations teams
  • Experience with workflow automation or deployment pipelines
  • Background in fintech, crypto, or data-heavy applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
