Aave Labs is looking for Staff Backend and Smart Contract Engineers to develop infrastructure for DeFi protocols and smart contracts for Aave and GHO.
Description
Aave Labs is the creator of Aave, the largest DeFi lending protocol ($6B+ TVL) and the stablecoin GHO.
Responsibilities
Staff Backend Engineer, Vaults
- Develop infrastructure for DeFi protocols and vault products.
- Build indexers and APIs.
- Collaborate with Quant engineers.
Staff Smart Contract Engineer
- Develop and audit smart contracts for Aave and GHO.
- Work with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Staff Backend Engineer, Vaults
- 5–8+ years of backend development experience.
- Experience with Rust (or C++/Go/Zig).
- Key skills: PostgreSQL, experience with blockchain/DeFi, high autonomy.
Staff Smart Contract Engineer
- Production development experience of DeFi protocols in Solidity.
- Key skills: experience with DeFi protocols, knowledge of EVM, understanding of security and auditing.
Conditions & Benefits
Staff Backend Engineer, Vaults
- Salary: ~$140,000 – $180,000 per year (gross estimate).
Staff Smart Contract Engineer
- Salary: ~$150,000 – $200,000 per year (gross estimate).
