Anduril is seeking Mechanical Engineering Interns for Summer 2026. This is a paid, in-person, 12-week internship in Sydney, Australia, focusing on design, prototyping, and hardware testing.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design & build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.
- Present design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, design & execute hardware test plans.
- Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision.
- Travel to test sites and vendors as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or any related field.
- Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
- Ability to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
- Ability to complete an in-person 12-week internship in our Sydney office in summer 2026.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Collegiate project team or laboratory experience.
- Currently enrolled in an undergrad or graduate engineering program.
- CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high-quality engineering drawings that meet common industry standards.
- Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills.
- High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles.
- Prior internship experience and/or leadership on a collegiate project team or laboratory.
- Experience in NX/Teamcenter and/or Solidworks.
- Experience with FEA and/or CFD analysis tools.
- Ability to integrate electrical components into designs (motors, controllers, sensors etc.).
- Experience with machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and 3D printing.
