About this role
QLAN is looking for a Backend Navigation Engineer to process automotive data and develop navigation solutions using advanced technologies.
Description
QLAN is a technology integrator implementing end-to-end AI solutions in the business processes of large companies and government structures.
Responsibilities
- Process data collected during automotive runs.
- Restore and correct vehicle movement tracks.
- Use Kalman filter for navigation data processing.
- Perform map matching.
- In the case of an extended hardware complex, combine data from CAN, USB GPS, video, and navigation sources.
- Develop data converters as per technical specifications.
- Check the quality and correctness of received data batches.
- Automate data verification using Python.
- Calculate polygon coverage.
- Participate in calibration runs and analyze results.
- Identify data issues and determine their causes.
- Interact with the sensor integration engineer and project manager.
Requirements
Required
- Proficient in Python.
- Experience in data processing and analysis.
- Understanding of navigation and positioning principles.
- Practical experience with Kalman filter.
- Understanding of map matching algorithms.
- Ability to work with large data sets.
- Skills in automating data processing and verification.
- Ability to independently understand the quality and structure of raw data.
Important
- Experience with GPS/GNSS, CAN, video, time series, sensor fusion, geodata, and GIS, NumPy/Pandas/SciPy.
- Experience with automotive or robotic systems.
- Experience in processing data from multiple sensors.
