- Participate in shaping the product strategy for the data platform
- Manage stakeholder expectations and translate business needs into clear data products, contracts, and delivery plans
- People Management: develop DE plans, conduct performance reviews, 1:1s, mentoring, team design, and hiring as needed
- Collaborate with all team stakeholders (analysts, dx, security, legal) on developing data pipelines
- Participate in the development of platform architecture and data models
- Manage technical solutions in product teams
- Identify and implement cost optimization measures for storage, compute, and pipeline execution
- Engage in complex initiatives as a staff data engineer when necessary
Requirements
Requirements
- Experience in development with the stack: Python, Hadoop/Spark, Greenplum/Clickhouse/PostgreSQL, Yandex cloud/GCP/AWS/Azure, Kafka/RabbitMQ
- Experience leading a data engineering or platform team of 5 or more
- Understanding of data platform architecture, data contracts, lineage, monitoring, reliability
- Experience in managing data quality and operational metrics
- Strong communication skills with business and adjacent teams
- Experience in hiring, developing, and evaluating engineers
