Top Selection is looking for a Data Scientist / ML Engineer for a project in the FMCG/Supply Chain/Demand Planning sector. This is a full-time remote position.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and prepare data from various sources for further analysis
- Conduct initial data analysis: identify patterns and anomalies, create visualizations
- Develop and implement machine learning models (regression, classification, clustering), with a special focus on time series models
- Develop an optimizer based on linear and mixed-integer programming (LP, MILP)
- Evaluate model quality, tune hyperparameters, and perform cross-validation
- Participate in the integration of models into the company's business processes
- Prepare analytical reports
- Interact with business representatives and technical teams
Requirements
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL
- Good understanding of machine learning methods and mathematical statistics: linear models, Random Forest, gradient boosting
- Practical experience with time series: data preparation, forecasting, quality assessment, and cross-validation
- Experience with gradient boosting libraries: XGBoost, LightGBM, or CatBoost
- Knowledge of mathematical and discrete optimization methods: LP, MILP / MIP
- Practical experience with at least one optimization tool: Pyomo, OR-Tools, PuLP, or similar
- Experience using solvers: Gurobi, CPLEX, SCIP, COPT, GLPK, or similar
- Experience in developing ML solutions from data analysis to working prototype
- Proficient in Git
