We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., Raleigh, London, and Amsterdam.
- Define and own Plaid's strategy and roadmap for data-supply traffic, health, and cost efficiency.
- Build and prioritize traffic-optimization initiatives, including opportunities created by evolving machine-learning models and strategic concessions negotiated with providers.
- Serve as the bridge between Plaid's data-provider relationship teams and internal product teams, translating provider constraints into internal priorities and product demand into clear asks of providers.
- Partner deeply with engineering and data teams to understand system behavior, evaluate technical trade-offs, and turn analysis into decisions.
- Establish and track the core traffic and cost metrics needed to operate the area, identify risks, and measure progress.
- 8+ years of experience, including 5+ in product management or equivalent founder/operator roles.
- Analytical rigor: You are comfortable working directly with data, cost models, and operational metrics to make and defend complex decisions.
- Deep technical fluency: You can reason about large-scale systems, load management, API platforms, and machine-learning models and engage engineers as a close product partner.
- Platform & systems thinking mindset: You think in systems, and design for reuse and the long term.
- Leadership, stakeholder influence, and communication: You should be comfortable working cross-functionally (engineering, data, product) and influencing without direct authority. You must be able to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders, drive alignment, and make trade-offs crystal clear.
