Join EveryMatrix as a Product Owner to lead the development of our sportsbook frontend experience, translating market needs into actionable product outcomes.

Description

Join us on this exciting journey as we continue to redefine the iGaming landscape, one groundbreaking solution at a time.

Responsibilities

What You'll get to do:

  • Product Vision and Strategy
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, objectives, and roadmap for the sportsbook frontend. - Translate company strategy, operator requirements, market trends, and end-user needs into clear product priorities. - Identify opportunities to improve sportsbook acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and overall user experience. - Balance reusable product capabilities with operator-specific and market-specific requirements. - Contribute to the long-term evolution of the sportsbook product, including personalization, modularity, scalability, and multi-tenant capabilities. - Clearly articulate the business and customer value behind proposed initiatives.
  • Product Discovery and Requirements
- Work with operators, commercial teams, internal stakeholders, and end users to identify problems, needs, and product opportunities. - Analyze sportsbook journeys such as event discovery, navigation, search, market selection, bet placement, betslip usage, live betting, promotions, and bet management. - Convert business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications. - Break down complex initiatives into manageable and independently deliverable increments. - Validate requirements with design, engineering, QA, platform teams, and relevant stakeholders before development begins. - Ensure regulatory, responsible-gambling, accessibility, localization, and market-specific requirements are considered during product definition. - Maintain complete, accurate, and accessible product documentation in Jira and Confluence.
  • Roadmap and Prioritization
- Own and continuously maintain the product backlog. - Prioritize initiatives and backlog items based on customer value, user impact, commercial potential, strategic alignment, risk, effort, and technical dependencies. - Define minimum viable product scope and phased-delivery approaches for larger initiatives. - Manage scope throughout the delivery lifecycle and ensure material changes are assessed, documented, and agreed with the appropriate stakeholders. - Balance new product development, operator requirements, technical improvements, defects, and technical-debt reduction. - Make clear prioritization decisions when capacity or timelines are constrained.
  • Agile Delivery
- Work closely with engineering, design, and QA throughout planning, refinement, development, testing, and release. - Ensure the development team understands the product objectives, user needs, requirements, and expected outcomes. - Lead or actively contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and relevant product workshops. - Provide timely clarification and make product decisions during development. - Identify dependencies, risks, and blockers early and collaborate with the appropriate owners to resolve them. - Accept completed work based on agreed requirements and acceptance criteria. - Support release planning and ensure features are ready from a product, operational, documentation, and stakeholder perspective. - Maintain delivery transparency and communicate progress, risks, scope changes, and decisions clearly.
  • Stakeholder and Client Management
- Act as the primary product contact for assigned sportsbook initiatives. - Build strong working relationships with operators, sportsbook platform teams, commercial stakeholders, engineering, UX, QA, delivery, and senior management. - Facilitate product workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, demonstrations, and roadmap discussions. - Set clear expectations regarding product scope, priorities, dependencies, and delivery assumptions. - Evaluate stakeholder requests objectively and challenge solutions that do not support the product strategy or provide sufficient customer value. - Present recommendations using evidence, product data, competitive analysis, and clearly structured business arguments. - Support client presentations, product demonstrations, sales opportunities, and RFP responses when required.
  • Product Performance and Continuous Improvement
- Define success criteria and measurable KPIs for new features and product initiatives. - Monitor sportsbook metrics such as event-to-bet conversion, betslip completion, bet placement success, click-through rates, engagement, bet frequency, retention, and feature adoption. - Use quantitative data, qualitative feedback, user research, and operational insights to evaluate product performance. - Review delivered features after launch and identify opportunities for optimization. - Work with UX and analytics teams to identify friction, abandonment points, usability issues, and unmet customer needs. - Maintain awareness of sportsbook market developments, competitor products, user-experience patterns, and emerging technologies. - Conduct competitor and feature-comparison analysis to identify meaningful product differentiators. - Propose improvements that strengthen the UXMatrix sportsbook proposition and create measurable value for EveryMatrix clients.
Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • At least three years of experience in product ownership, product management, business analysis, or a comparable digital-product role.
  • Experience in iGaming.
  • Experience working with cross-functional software-development teams in an agile environment.
  • Strong ability to translate business and user needs into clear, structured, and testable product requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing product backlogs, priorities, scope, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make evidence-based product decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence presenting product recommendations and reasoning with technical, commercial, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts, frontend architecture, APIs, integrations, and platform dependencies at a product level.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, or equivalent product and delivery-management tools.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • A degree in technology, economics, business, or a related discipline.
Conditions & Benefits

Here's what we offer:

  • Start with 22 days of annual leave, with 2 additional days added each year, up to 32 days by your fifth year with us.
  • Benefit from two Free Fridays each year, limited to one per quarter.
  • 3 sick leave days per year, no doctor's note required.
  • Daily catered lunch or monthly lunch allowance.
  • Private Medical Subscription.
  • Access online learning platforms like Udemy for Business and LinkedIn Learning, and a budget for external training.
