Better Money
Strike is the Bitcoin company. With Strike, you can buy and sell bitcoin, pay bills, and borrow against your holdings. From individuals to businesses, Strike is purpose-built for every step of the Bitcoin journey. Available in more than 100 countries — including the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and Africa — Strike is building a better financial system powered by Bitcoin. Bitcoin is better money. Strike is how you use it.- Complex Investigations: Lead investigations into the highest-risk and multi-jurisdictional activity, including structuring, layering, sanctions evasion, and fraud.
- Blockchain Tracing: Conduct on-chain tracing and attribution analysis on high-risk flows, translating technical findings into plain-language conclusions.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as Strike's internal authority on bitcoin investigations. Act as escalation point on complex tracing, review the investigative work and written output of junior team members, and hold credibility with law enforcement, auditors, and examiners.
- SAR Narratives: Draft clear, defensible suspicious activity narratives and prepare filing packages for BSA Officer review.
- Typology Development: Identify emerging patterns and feed them into monitoring rule design, threshold tuning, and false positive reduction.
- AI-Enabled Investigations: Help shape how Strike applies AI tooling to investigative work, from evaluating tools to setting the human review standards that keep AI-assisted output defensible.
- Risk Escalations: Detect and escalate anomalies or suspicious behaviors in line with our AML and fraud policies, and make well-reasoned recommendations on customer risk decisions.
- Experience: At least 4 years in AML, financial crime, or fraud investigations, including a minimum of 2 years dedicated to blockchain or digital asset investigations.
- Bitcoin Tracing Depth: Demonstrated multi-hop tracing through peel chains, consolidations, change behavior, and obfuscation such as nested services. You should be able to name the heuristics you rely on and where they break down.
- Analytical Prowess: Exceptional analytical abilities, with the judgment to defend a conclusion on ambiguous facts and to know when to escalate rather than resolve.
- Documentation & Narrative: Outstanding written communication, with a track record of SAR narratives and case files that withstand scrutiny.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of BSA/AML obligations, OFAC sanctions requirements, and SAR filing standards.
- Tech Savvy: Hands-on proficiency with blockchain analytics tooling (Chainalysis, TRM Labs), open source research, and KYC/case management tools.
- AI Fluency: Practical experience applying AI tooling professionally, with the judgment to know where it creates leverage and where its output cannot be relied on without verification.
- Independence & Teamwork: Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced setting, taking ownership of responsibilities. The ability to work with a high degree of urgency is critical.
- Language Skills: English fluency is a must, with additional languages being a valuable asset.
- Salary range: €73K - €84K

- Cell phone and internet reimbursement
- Flexible PTO, sick leave & parental leave
