Description
Andersen is looking for an experienced Siemens PLC Engineer to join an international project for Primetals Technologies, a global provider of engineering, automation, and digital solutions for the metals industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and modify PLC software for steel and metals production/process lines
- Perform detailed engineering: PLC logic, sequences, interlocks, diagnostics, signal and I/O handling
- Integrate PLC systems with SCADA/HMI and Level 2 systems, including tags, signals, and handshakes
- Support FAT/SAT, troubleshooting, and remote or on-site commissioning
- Maintain technical documentation: logic descriptions, I/O lists, change logs, and test scenarios
Requirements
- 3+ years of practical Siemens PLC engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience with TIA Portal and/or Step7 Classic
- Experience with Siemens S7-300, S7-400, and/or S7-1500
- Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 languages: LAD/LD, FBD, SCL/ST, SFC
- Practical experience with Profinet and Profibus
- Solid troubleshooting, FAT/SAT, startup, or commissioning background
- English level: B1+ or higher
- Availability for occasional business trips within Europe
