About this role

Join SplitMetrics as a Backend Engineer (Python) to design and implement scalable systems. Work remotely in Europe with a team focused on mobile app growth.

Description

SplitMetrics is an ecosystem of products for mobile app growth, including automation for Apple Ads, ASO, and A/B testing. Founded by Maxim Kamenkov, we partner with Apple Search Ads and manage advertising expenses of $730 million annually across 1.6 million campaigns.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable high-load systems in Python.
  • Adapt the product to handle 200–400 million records per day and work with data pipelines.
  • Improve reliability, security, and performance of backend products.
  • Develop microservice solutions, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of commercial development experience in Python.
  • Experience with Django or FastAPI and PostgreSQL, including performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous queues such as Celery, Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience in building and scaling microservices, understanding of CI/CD and web security principles.
