Alchemy is seeking a Controller to lead their accounting function, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency while managing a high-performing team in a hybrid work environment. Salary ranges from $200K to $265K with equity and bonuses.

Responsibilities
- Build and lead the end-to-end accounting function.
- Manage core accounting operations, systems, and controls.
- Transform complex financial information into clear insights for leadership and investors.
- Oversee routine financial operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, and reporting.
- Manage complex multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Architect and refine scalable accounting infrastructure.
- Develop policies, procedures, and controls for financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance.
- Lead relationships with third-party accounting firms and auditors.
- Present reporting that provides insight into financial performance.
- Collaborate with teams across Alchemy.
- Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Leadership experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar role.
- Public accounting experience and in-house operating experience.
- Strong ownership of accounting operations and financial reporting.
- Deep technical accounting knowledge, including US GAAP.
- Experience building scalable accounting systems and internal controls.
- Audit-readiness experience.
- Strong business judgment and communication skills.
- People leadership experience.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Experience in a high-growth startup or later-stage private company.
- NetSuite experience preferred.
- Experience with crypto, digital assets, or blockchain is a plus.
