About this role
Join Game Gears as a Game Designer to create engaging mobile games using AI tools. Work remotely with a focus on innovative game development.
Description
Game Gears is a next-generation game studio within the international corporation GDEV. We are rethinking the approach to game creation, using AI tools and automation to accelerate development, scale content, and create a deeper, dynamic gaming experience.
Responsibilities
- Design features and write GDD for the live mobile game Aliens vs Zombies: Invasion (Tower Defense, f2p, large audience)
- Feature ownership: from idea and GDD to support through art, development, and UI — and to metrics post-release
- Work directly with data — direct access to raw metrics (ClickHouse)
- Use AI tools as a primary working tool, not just as an experiment
Requirements
- Experience in the role of Game Designer for at least 1 year — we value what you have done, not just the duration
- Understanding of the f2p mobile market and monetization
- Broad gaming knowledge: play a lot yourself, analyze mechanics, keep track of the market — mainly mobile
- Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Notion AI — anything): not just 'heard of', but regularly used in work
- Proactivity: see a problem — come with a solution, do not wait for a task to be set
- Ability to communicate solutions through data and logic, not just 'I think'
- Structured GDDs and concepts — readable without a call with the author
