Responsibilities

- Independently manage analytical processing of the domain or direction, manage requirements, data quality risks, and customer expectations.
- Decompose complex initiatives and form implementation approaches.
- Review artifacts of Middle specialists.
- Design analytical dashboards and data models considering performance, maintainability, data lineage, and data management principles.
- Organize analysis of source systems and design data loading processes, including transformation rules, historical data, and quality control.
- Review scripts of Middle specialists.
- Lead end-to-end BI solution development: needs identification, KPI agreement, metric design, acceptance, publication, and support.
- Optimize BI architecture and report performance, determine requirements for RLS/access control, and user experience quality.
- Design complex interactive Power BI dashboards with related visualizations, flexible role models, and performance optimization.
- Conduct complex workshops with clients, resolve disputes regarding data and metrics, and form a unified conceptual framework.
- Set standards for analytical documentation, acceptance criteria for dashboards and reports, and advise the team on effective data handling.
- Participate in building data quality control processes and validation of the end-to-end path: sources → DWH → BI.

Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a data analyst, including projects with BI landscapes and large volumes of financial and operational data.
- Experience in the banking domain is mandatory: products, operations, customer analytics, management, and financial reporting.
- Experience in regulatory projects and preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Proven cases of analytical solutions impacting business processes, management reporting, or reducing manual labor.
- High-level SQL and DWH modeling experience.
- Deep understanding of Greenplum architecture (or other MPP DBMS): distribution, partitioning, execution plans, optimization for large volumes.
- Data Vault 2.0 — proficiency in designing entities and relationships, making architectural decisions on KHD layers and dashboards.
- Experience with external data sources (assessment of applicability, quality, and limitations).
- Confident in Power BI (DAX, role models, performance optimization).
- Ability to explain complex things in simple terms.
- Written communication skills: clear comments, statuses, solution descriptions, instructions, and documentation.
- Ability to take a leadership position and lead others. Skills in administration and motivation.
- Facilitation of complex cross-functional discussions with business, IT, security, operations, and contractors.
- Participation in hiring, candidate assessment, team development, and conflict resolution.
- Experience with OpenMetadata or other data catalogs (a plus).
- Mentoring and knowledge transfer within the team (a plus).
- Participation in building data quality control processes (a plus).
