Shift Administrator

Job Description:

• Scheduling & Rotations: Create and maintain shift rotations to ensure adequate coverage. Coordinate extra rotations and adjustments as required. Manage extended shifts and overtime coverage whilst ensuring fairness and compliance with policies.
• Absence & Coverage Management: Monitor absences, sickness, lateness, and no-shows, ensuring quick response and coverage. Update systems and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders. Support absence-related ticket handling and ensure accurate documentation.
• Operational Monitoring & Support: Track and manage relevant operational signalling requests within the team’s scope of responsibility. Administer daily updates for coverage changes and emergencies. Handle Doctor Certificate tickets and related shift administration tasks.
• Reporting & Communication: Prepare and submit the daily shift report with accurate and timely information. Escalate urgent issues or other relevant queries to the Team Manager or other relevant stakeholders. Communicate effectively with employees about changes in their rotation or schedule, ensuring excellent customer service and professionalism.
• Continuous Support: Contribute to process improvements and propose practical solutions. Provide general administrative support for shift-related matters as needed. Remain flexible to take on additional duties within shift administration and related functions, in line with evolving business needs.
