About the Role

Polymarket is seeking a Staff iOS Engineer to significantly contribute to their iOS product as they heavily invest in mobile. This high-ownership role requires someone with a deep understanding of building exceptional trading or wagering experiences on mobile, including performance requirements, real-time data challenges, and intuitive UI patterns for fast-moving information. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to deliver a high-quality iOS experience and elevate mobile codebase standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the iOS product end-to-end, covering technical architecture, performance, product quality, and release discipline
• Make and own architectural decisions for the iOS platform, ensuring scalability and rigorous maintenance
• Design and implement experiences that handle live market data, fast-moving prices, and real-time order state reliably
• Lead code reviews, establish strong iOS engineering standards, and develop the mobile team's capabilities
• Partner across the company with product, design, and backend teams to align priorities, define APIs and data contracts, and ship high-quality experiences
• Help shape Polymarket's approach to mobile as a platform, including architectural decisions for team scalability

Requirements

• Significant iOS engineering experience with a track record of shipping and owning high-quality iOS applications in production
• Deep experience building trading, financial, or sportsbook applications
• Strong knowledge of Swift and iOS SDK
• Solid instincts around performance, memory management, and real-time data handling
• Experience building apps consuming live data feeds and displaying fast-moving information reliably
• High bar for product quality
• Comfortable operating with broad ownership in a fast-moving environment
• Strong cross-functional communication skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with WebSockets, streaming APIs, and real-time data infrastructure
• Experience leading or mentoring iOS engineers
• Background in a high-growth startup environment
