Description
Postgres Professional is a Russian developer of data management solutions, ranked first among the largest DBMS developers in Russia. This vacancy is in the commercial department, addressing backup, high reliability, and sharding issues in Postgres Pro products.
Responsibilities
- Conducting technical presentations and product demonstrations
- Developing pilot projects, including installation, configuration, and integration into the client's infrastructure
- Providing technical consultations during project implementation, supporting the technical aspect of the deal
- Participating in the development of requirements for future releases of the solution
- Assisting in the preparation of technical and tender documentation
- Interacting with sales, support, and development teams
- Developing technical specifications from the client and preparing the implementation program
Requirements
- Experience with PostgreSQL, experience with Postgres Pro is a plus
- Experience with database backup and recovery systems, pg_probackup is a plus
- Understanding of sharding concepts, experience with sharding
- Experience in building high reliability systems (BiHA, Patroni, and analogs), knowledge of Linux OS
- Experience in supporting technical sales solutions, English at least Intermediate
- Ability to create presentations, demos, proof of concept; experience in writing texts and articles
- Willingness to travel, completion of DBA-1 course and preparation for DBA-2
