About this role
International IT company seeks a Database Administrator for high-load projects, focusing on ClickHouse database management.
Description
An international product IT company that develops and supports high-load projects for large companies, mainly consisting of entertainment online services.
Responsibilities
- Designing data warehouse architecture;
- Supporting existing ClickHouse clusters;
- Reviewing and optimizing SQL queries and data schemas in collaboration with developers;
- Configuring and optimizing ClickHouse instances;
- Setting up and optimizing replication and sharding processes, configuring Zookeeper;
- Analyzing and resolving complex incidents, including investigating degradation and data loss.
Requirements
- Experience with Linux;
- Deep knowledge of ClickHouse architecture and principles (engines, indexes, replication, sharding, best practices);
- Proficient in Bash and SQL;
- Experience with monitoring systems.
Will be a plus:
- Basic programming skills in Python (for solving routine tasks);
- Experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack;
- Advanced knowledge and experience with relational databases: MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
