SOFTSWISS is looking for a Deputy Head of Finance Infrastructure to lead the transformation of financial systems, focusing on modularity and scalability while ensuring delivery excellence.
Description
SOFTSWISS is hiring a Deputy Head of Finance Infrastructure to drive the technical execution and transformation of our financial systems. You'll work alongside the Head of Finance Infrastructure as an architect, engineer, and technical leader — helping redesign our finance platform from a complex, interconnected system into a modular, scalable product while maintaining focus on delivery excellence and technical quality.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive audit of the finance systems architecture, identify technical debt, and define areas for improvement and modernization.
- Develop a refactoring and modernization roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact, technical requirements, and scalability.
- Lead a team of approximately 33 professionals across Engineering, QA, and Infrastructure, setting technical standards and ensuring effective team performance.
- Manage and mentor 4 team leads, supporting their professional development and strengthening leadership capabilities.
- Structure and prioritize a large technical backlog, translating business needs into clear milestones, priorities, and deliverables.
- Oversee the development and integration of new financial system instances, including Budgeting, Treasury, Payroll, etc.
- Ensure seamless integration between systems and maintain high standards of reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Identify development and delivery bottlenecks and implement improvements to accelerate the software development lifecycle.
- Drive the adoption of automation and AI-based solutions to improve engineering efficiency and delivery speed.
- Establish and maintain effective QA, development, deployment, and infrastructure processes.
- Communicate progress, technical challenges, risks, and dependencies clearly to business stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment between engineering priorities and broader business objectives.
Requirements
- 10+ years in software development, engineering, or architecture.
- 5+ years managing technical teams.
- Experience with ERP/Finance systems: 1C is a must-have + SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Strong experience in architecture, refactoring, migrations, and integrations.
- Basic understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Strong leadership, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Open-minded, empathetic, and collaborative, with a willingness to experiment and embrace new ideas.
- Nice to have: Experience with AI/ML applications in financial systems or business intelligence; Knowledge of Fintech or iGaming industry; Experience with 1C ERP specifically; Exposure to high-load SaaS or multi-tenant architecture patterns; Familiarity with modern DevOps, CI/CD optimization, or infrastructure automation.
