- Build and maintain a deep understanding of the French and Benelux consumer, the competitive set and the local travel landscape.
- Interpret research, and bring those insights to bear on local plans and global strategy.
- Develop growth plans for current and prospective guests and hosts in each market, addressing the distinct demand and supply priorities of the region.
- Collaborate across functions to build an integrated roadmap that delivers on the strategy.
- Local programs leadership: Identify and lead local campaign opportunities and execution in France for seasonal moments as well as other relevant France-led campaigns and partnerships.
- Collaborate with local teams (Communications, Public Affairs, Legal…) to create integrated marketing tactics: develop message briefs and timelines for campaigns, ensure coordinated approvals.
- Partner with the Airbnb global campaign team and internal creative to localize global campaigns for France and Benelux.
- Collaborate with Copywriters and Localization Managers on both host and guest initiatives, while articulating regional market nuances to cross-functional teams.
- Shape the local channel mix across TV/BVOD, out-of-home, digital, social and audio in collaboration with the media team.
- Partner with the media agency on planning, negotiation and in-flight optimisation, and lead audio execution end to end, including podcast and radio selection, creative feedback and reporting.
- Partner with external agencies, ensuring optimal resourcing, timely briefings, contracts, payments and a deep understanding of the brand and business opportunities, challenges and plan.
- In partnership with other marketing stakeholders, develop and deliver the EMEA marketing strategy, balancing alignment with global strategy and regional opportunities.
- Monitor and oversee key growth projects jointly with the Growth Marketing team, including display ads, SEM, emailing campaigns, and affiliate partnerships to define and implement optimal strategies.
- Define success metrics for the region and own performance reporting: set campaign KPIs, track brand health, run post-campaign analysis with the analytics and insights teams, and translate results into recommendations for the next planning cycle.
- 8+ years in a marketing role, preferably with experience at a fast paced startup or technology company.
- Experience working across France, Benelux and ideally other EMEA markets.
- Creative and analytical thinker with proven ability to champion world class creative marketing programs that deliver results.
- An integrated marketing mindset with experience in amplifying campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels.
- Solid business acumen to understand key business and consumer levers that unlock growth.
- Experience managing agencies and leading cross-functional programmes across multinational teams, with influence rather than direct authority.
- Solid knowledge of finance and accounting; ability to manage budgets including forecasting, actualizing and accruing.
- Willingness to regularly travel internationally when required.
- Record of success in leading teams, measurement of ROI, and accountability for results.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills; able to articulate a vision, strategy and idea clearly and succinctly.
- The ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Fluent in French & English (written and verbal).
- Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
- The base pay range shown below is annualized, is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
- This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
- United Kingdom Annual Pay Range £72,000 — £90,000 GBP.
