About this role

Looking for a Narrative Designer for a gaming startup developing an online detective investigation platform. Work remotely with flexible hours.

Description

We are looking for a narrative designer for a gaming startup that is developing an online platform for detective investigations.

Players will explore the city, visit various locations, collect evidence, study documents, correspondence, and witness statements, building their own logical chain of investigation.

Responsibilities
  • Create original detective plots;
  • Adapt real stories into a gaming format;
  • Develop the structure of the investigation (crime → motive → suspects → alibis → evidence → false versions → solution);
  • Design game locations;
  • Write game documents, correspondence, reports, files, and dialogues;
  • Distribute information so that players gradually uncover the case;
  • Collaborate with the development team.
Requirements
  • Understanding of storytelling principles and narrative design;
  • Love for detective stories and investigations;
  • Logical thinking;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to write engaging and coherent stories;
  • Experience in GameDev, interactive literature, tabletop RPGs, or quests is a plus.
