About this role
Join an international travel-tech platform as a Product Owner for the Billing Squad, focusing on financial domain ownership and collaboration across teams.
Description
An international travel-tech platform. The team develops a key financial domain: auto-invoicing, payments, data reconciliation, VAT, and revenue recognition to scale the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Billing domain enthusiastically from start to finish: vision, backlog prioritization, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Work with Finance, Legal, and Compliance to meet accounting standards and tax regulations of various countries.
- Develop payment systems supporting multi-currency, taxes, and external acquiring/ERP.
- Automate manual processes: reconciliation, handling returns, disputed payments, and reducing DSO.
- Track key billing health metrics (failed payments, reconciliation rate) and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager in FinTech, Billing, Payments, or SaaS products.
- Understanding of accounting principles (revenue recognition), VAT/GST, and cross-border taxation.
- Experience writing user stories, task acceptance, and working in Agile.
- Practice with integrations with payment gateways, acquiring banks, or ERP/accounting systems.
- English from B2 (confident presentations and communication with stakeholders).
