Nethermind is seeking a Senior Business Development & Operations Lead in Spain to drive commercial opportunities in vending and retail automation. This strategic role involves building partnerships and supporting deployments in the region.
About Nethermind
Nethermind is a blockchain research and software engineering company building high-performance infrastructure, security tooling, and cryptographic systems across the Ethereum ecosystem and beyond. We work closely with protocol teams, L2s, and ZK projects to help design, review, and secure cutting-edge decentralized systems.- Own early business development across Spain and Iberia.
- Build relationships with relevant operators, technology partners, distributors, payment providers, and commercial location owners.
- Identify high-value pilot opportunities in vending, unattended retail, and adjacent self-service environments.
- Help secure early commercial commitments, pilot agreements, and partner conversations.
- Work closely with the founder on local market development, customer feedback, and commercial priorities.
- Coordinate meetings, demos, partner follow-up, and early customer conversations.
- Translate market feedback into clear product and operational requirements.
- Support early deployment planning, partner success, field coordination, and local operations.
- Help create the foundation for a future regional sales and operations team.
- Represent the company locally with a high degree of ownership and professionalism.
- Direct experience in at least one of the following is required:
- Strong network in Spain or Iberia across relevant operators, partners, distributors, retailers, or technology providers.
- Ability to sell and operate in a hardware-plus-software environment.
- Ability to understand business and technical conversations around machines, payments, service, inventory, and operations.
- Spanish fluency required.
- Professional English required.
- Willingness to travel across Spain, Portugal, and other relevant Iberian markets.
- Comfortable working in an early-stage startup with limited structure and high autonomy.
- Strong communication skills with founders, customers, technical teams, and senior external partners.
