Join Polymedia as a Senior Python Developer to work on Visiology Cortex, an AI module for intelligent assistance. Engage in backend development, architecture enhancement, and integration with LLMs.
Polymedia is one of the leaders in the Russian BI market. Visiology Cortex is an AI module of the platform, an embedded intelligent assistant based on LLM.
Responsibilities
- Develop the architecture of Cortex: LangGraph agents, request routing, multi-agent scenarios
- Develop and optimize RAG pipeline: document indexing, working with embeddings and rerankers, vector representation search
- Integrate with LLM (Claude / OpenAI / GigaChat / open-source models), control inference costs, streaming responses (SSE)
- Develop backend services in Python
- Work with PostgreSQL, including storage and search by vectors
- Integrate with the core of the Visiology platform via REST API (dashboards, metrics, data models)
- Point tasks on Angular/TypeScript (UI Cortex) and C#/.NET when interfacing with platform services
- Write unit and integration tests, develop technical documentation
Requirements
- 6+ years of commercial development experience
- Strong knowledge of Python, experience in building backend services
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Understanding of basic principles of working with LLM and RAG: embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, context limitations
- Practical experience with AI development assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar)
- Understanding of web application operations (HTTP, REST API)
- Knowledge of data structures and design patterns
- Ability to conduct quality code reviews
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- English language proficiency for reading technical documentation
