About this role

AV Soft is looking for a Technical Support Engineer in Moscow. Join a leading IT company specializing in information security since 2010.

Description

AV Soft is a Russian software developer for information security, operating since 2010, and accredited IT company listed in the Register of domestic software.

Responsibilities
  • Remote connection to customer workstations for problem diagnosis and necessary adjustments
  • Interaction with testing, development, and DevOps teams when bugs are found: creating tasks in the task tracker, monitoring status, informing clients about the progress of fixes
  • Coordinating work with adjacent specialists: agreeing on connection times with the customer via chat
  • Prompt response to incidents in chats with customers; in case of escalation, quickly passing information to senior colleagues
  • Keeping records of connections and completed work
  • Updating the knowledge base and internal instructions (troubleshooting)
Requirements
  • Ability to work with Docker
  • Ability to work with basic console Linux commands (ls, cd, cp, mv, rm)
  • Ability to connect via SSH, PAM, file transfer via SCP
  • Working with system service manager (systemctl), viewing logs (journalctl)
  • Experience with Jira / Redmine, familiarity with ticket systems (Zammad, oSTicket)
  • Understanding of SLA methodology and support line structure
  • Skills in professional business correspondence and polite communication with customers
  • Advantage: knowledge of Bash in Linux/UNIX, Python
