Circle seeks a Director of Business Development for Europe to lead strategic payments partnerships, focusing on USDC and EURC adoption.

- Developing and executing Circle’s European payments partnership strategy.
- Driving revenue growth and measurable OKRs tied to transaction volume and product adoption.
- Owning the full deal lifecycle: sourcing, qualification, business case development, structuring, negotiation, and closure.
- Expanding USDC and EURC adoption in cross-border payments, treasury flows, merchant settlement, and embedded finance use cases.
- Structuring bespoke partnerships that integrate Circle’s APIs and infrastructure.
- Partnering with Product, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Engineering.
- Leading executive-level conversations with C-suite stakeholders.
- Building long-term ecosystem value by identifying scalable distribution channels.
- 12+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial leadership roles.
- 7+ years of experience in payments, fintech, banking, or financial infrastructure.
- Deep knowledge of European payments ecosystems.
- Proven track record of structuring and closing complex deals.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ownership of revenue targets.
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous environments.
- Strong executive communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel across Europe (30–50% seasonally).
Preferred:
- Experience navigating regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in digital assets, blockchain infrastructure, or stablecoins.
