Join Supabase as a Database Support Engineer (Japanese Speaking) to tackle complex PostgreSQL issues and assist clients in optimizing their workloads.
Description
Supabase is an open-source development platform built on PostgreSQL, offering database, authentication, storage, and Edge Functions. With over 10 million registered developers, we are expanding rapidly and have raised $500 million in Series F funding.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot complex PostgreSQL, RLS, Storage, Realtime, and Edge Functions issues;
- Reproduce errors, identify causes, and provide the engineering team with precise steps;
- Assist clients in optimizing workloads and avoiding common issues;
- Suggest improvements to documentation and tools based on inquiries.
Requirements
- At least 6 years in technical support, backend development, or SRE;
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, including autovacuum, WAL, and long transactions;
- Fluent in Japanese and English, with experience in supporting Japanese clients;
- Ability to work during Japan's business hours.
